Lug Soles

So we all know trends come and go and most of the time end up coming right back again, but I must say, this one shoe style, I had to look twice to believe it managed to muster up a comeback… type “Lug Soles” into Google Images and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about!

Back from the 90’s, the thick, rubber sole & heel with deep indentations, found on the bottom of a boot/shoe is popping up left and right and this is one trend I’m not too fond of; it reminds me of a shoe I remember from my childhood most Africans came to know as the “Macarena” (a big, clunky shoe)…

Big Clunky Shoes of the 90s
Please don’t ask me why they were called that, I have no idea, lol!
These clunky soles can be found on different shoe and boot styles, mainly seen in black or white.
This isn’t one you’ll spot me in though, but it’s rather interesting to see where they took the chunky boot.

How do you feel about this style shoe, YAY or NAY?
