Winter Hats

With me having been totally engulfed in my natural hair journey, getting my hair regime right and just kinda working through this newly blossoming love I have for my hair, my big fluffy fro has been my favourite accessory.

With the arrival of winter comes the time to get a protective hairstyle and unpack some of my favourite head gear… felt hats, fedora’s, more scarfs and beanies!

My most prized piece for this winter has to be the wider-brim felt fedora hat, when I was in new york a little while ago I was so excited to come across one.

Otherwise some other winners to keep an eye out for to stay on top of the trends include the following:

Statement Beanie

Last season we saw the beanie blow up (read post here), so as a little DIY project this winter, stitch on a veil or some dainty details on there to give it new life and update it like shown below.

Its in the Detail

Baseball Cap

Fur Trim Hat

Anything with Ears

Play around with different styles and colours and if you’re on a budget, go for more neutral shades or colours that go with most of your winter wardrobe. And remember, to go with what best shows your personality… don’t just buy & wear something cause its trendy, make sure you feel comfortable and good in whatever you wear!

What hat will be your perfect fit this winter?
