Held at the City Hall, I arrived there after a long day at work and was greeted by a good looking chap who handed me a glass of JC Le Roux sparkling wine, off to a great start!
The place was filled with lots of fashionably clad cool people chatting and snapping up pics and they browsed through clothes to buy and I was on the hunt for my good friend Muni of Spreading the Quirky, cause I mean, one can’t have any fashion fun without a friend, right?
Once I found her, I was able to focus on the really important stuff, shopping!
One key item I have been on the hunt for, for summer (besides full midi skirts, cause I can never have enough of those), has to be pants with an exaggerated wide-leg aka palazzo pants. So I was a woman on a mission, determined not to get too distracted by the many pretty things and be a man about it and get what I “need” …lol!
I found the most amazing pair of palazzo pants by SA label called The Burn, who has a shop in by the fire station in Rosebank (had me missing my old home)… anyway, she imports some of the most beautiful pieces from London and Paris and makes some other stuff herself and I was happy to discover she actually made the piece I loved, and don’t worry, I’ll share that outfit!
I spotted the most dazzling skirt ever through the crowd and had to tell the person wearing it, obviously… and when the lovely lady turned around, it happened to be Aspasia Karras, the editor of Marie Claire! I have been keeping tabs on this lady for a number of years now, with her old partner in crime was my lecturer back at Lisof.. realising how that was awhile ago and all that’s happened since then… boy oh boy 🙂 #timeflies
Anyway, a wonderful night was had, shopping, bubbles, photos, music, dancing, eating, drinking, meeting, mingling… see you next year?!
