Shape Shift

With a new season come not only new shades of colours, but new silhouettes (shapes) too, and one that I’m sure you’re seen online (if you follow style bloggers in the northern hemisphere), is the asymmetrical skirt, which means the skirt is not the same shape on both sides, like this…

Asymmetrical skirts come in a number of lengths, cuts and combinations and can be figure hugging or structured (stiff), with a deep/ high slit or more than one layer, the possiblities are endless.

There’s definitely a lot more to play with this summer when it comes to the options of bottoms avaible to us, and I’m kind of looking forward to seeing more than just cut off denim shorts everywhere… even though I was one that also abused that trend last season.
Thoughts on these? Would you wear?

Through Shaded Eyes (TSE) is the brainchild of Tokelo Motsepe. A retail buyer and digital strategist with an addiction to blogging, this blog is a platform for my style, life and love for fashion to be shared. What started as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world, has now become a place to let out my passion for fashion & writing, in-between time spent at work, traveling, or doing everything else life throws at me… it has become a form of expression and I hope it can inspire and encourage you to also share!
