The start of a new year can be quite hectic, with so much happening like going back to work/school, waking up early, getting back to the gym and healthier eating and the overall organising of how you plan on dominating the year ahead and making sure it is in fact your year. Yes, it can all become overwhelming, and one thing that has helped me stay afloat is writing everything down, be it a random idea, thought, something I need to remember to do, or an inspiring quote.

Writing things down is a way to keep ones thoughts organised and with a busy year ahead, organisation is key.

I know a happy place I go to get some stuff to write with and in, it’s called Typo. Now I’m sure we’ve all pretty much got our goals, plans and all that stuff for the year, noted down in our journals and raring to go, but I was a little late to the party with that too and had just jotted them down in my notepad. Earlier this week I found my baby for the year, along with some cool new ink spillers when I popped into my happy place.

For those of you that are on #delayedstartontheyearmode like me and have yet to get yours for the year, Typo is having a 50% sale on all diaries/planners, so I guess one could say “all good things come to those who wait” hehe.

Through Shaded Eyes (TSE) is the brainchild of Tokelo Motsepe. A retail buyer and digital strategist with an addiction to blogging, this blog is a platform for my style, life and love for fashion to be shared. What started as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world, has now become a place to let out my passion for fashion & writing, in-between time spent at work, traveling, or doing everything else life throws at me… it has become a form of expression and I hope it can inspire and encourage you to also share!
