Foil Fever

One of my biggest obsessions this summer, besides nude nail polish (a bit on that later), had to be foil/metallic tattoos, which were all the rage this summer, of course if you follow me on Instagram then this really isn’t news!

Anyway, I must admit I was quite surprised to find not a lot of the trendy retailers here had these metallic marvels, and only really started popping up in Mr P and Jay Jay’s mid-to-late December, which I guess isn’t bad, but waaay late for some of us. I got my foil fashion fix online via LUMO Tat’s, they were very affordable and they have a wide variety of sheets with designs to suit just about any look you’re going for, be it geometric, vintage, aztec or tribal, in gold and silver, some with black and I later fell for the ones with bits of blue!

My reason for loving these beauties is simply that they can be worn as accessories, without the irritation of constantly getting in the way throughout the day, yessss bangles, bracelets and things get in my way, don’t judge me… that’s a story for another day! The tattoos are quick and easy to put on and only last a couple of days, depending on where you put them, so it’s easy enough to switch them if you’re a stickler for making sure the look and feel of your accessories go with your outfit… probably why I’m not the best candidate for permanent tattoos, well that and my fear of needles.
