Valentines Day ’15

So today is the day the world unites in the celebration of love. Whether you have looked forward to it cause you and bae had something exciting planned or you feel it’s just another day for greeting card companies and florists to make the chunk of their sales for the year (kind of what the festive season is for those of us in retail lol), or maybe you’re just like Valen-who? The day of love, Valentines’ Day, is upon us and I feel I didn’t even see it coming.

IMG_20150111_032926-1Maybe I haven’t spent enough time in malls this month… no actually scratch that, I think it’s those distracting “sale” signs that had me… but still, I haven’t seen as much advertising this year.  I’ve read a number of write-ups in magazines and online, where people share some adorable flashbacks of their romantic tales and interesting escapades in the name of love. Stories like this send me on reminiscent stroll down, aah that awkward first kiss, mmmm that that first summer fling, man, that first love, sheeesh and that first heart break, man oh man!

So, as I’ve grown I have learnt and discovered different kinds of love along this journey called life and feel it’s not only the love between romantic partners that deserves to be celebrated, friends, family, whoever, just be happy and grateful to be loved and appreciated by those in your life. I have two valentines this year; a couple of lovely ladies have been keeping my hands full this weekend, and before your mind run amuck, they’re my wonderful friends, and some good food & girly fun to the mix, all wrapped up in a sleepover… its turning out to be a fabulous time.

What space has this Valentine’s Day got you in and what are you up to?
