Yesterday was the final day of London Fashion Week. Being one of my favourite travel destinations, I can’t help but feel a sense of longing for the another trip up to the fashionable metropolis.
London’s showcasing listed designers like Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Mulberry, Christopher Kane, Burberry Prorsum and Topshop Unique, to name a few. If one had any doubt about fringing, blanket style poncho’s,wide-leg pants, geo-ethnic embroidery/embellishment (tribal embroidery,/embellishment done in geometric sequence/shapes), culottes and, well a midi-length anything… then well those doubts should be just about put to bed now, right?! The Burberry Prorsum show was my most loved, followed closely by the Mulberry and Paulsmith collections, and I enjoyed how the 70s were coming through alot of the lines as well, anyway here are my top five looks, that will be my inspiration this winter.
My favourite bit about LFW has to be off the runways, and on the chilly streets, full of fashionista’s I envy, as I would instantly trade my laptop for their ticket to any riveting runway show. The hottest item this season spotted on the streets had to be the Burberry scarfes shown below and the hot orange color could be seen popping up here and there.
Eager to see what Milan Fashion Week has in store, which got off to a start this week; and closer to home we have The Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Joburg kicking off next week, so be sure to get your tickets for some local fashion flavour.
