Shaded x Streets

There’s nothing like meeting a creative mind that is open to exchanging thoughts, views & ideas, and also looking to make the time to actually get together, you know, cause we can all talk about doing stuff, but ya! Anyway, I recently linked up with Mosa, of @thesearethestreets, a photographer who after sitting down with, I discovered is also in the same line of work I am in, retail buying. Having connected through social media beforehand, we knew our styles were quite contrasting, and thought it would be interesting to see what would be the result of a collaboration between us, and well this is it… the first of the Shaded x Streets series.

With last week’s cold front cementing the fact that winter is here, we felt it fitting that The Coat be the fashion focus of this installment. A classic, item that should be in every guy/girls closet, no matter what ones style is, there are so many different shapes, colours, cuts and lengths that its near impossible to find one that suits your style and taste. And though these may cost quite a bit, its always a good investment, cause you can wear a good coat for many years especially with how short winter really is for us here in South Africa.

Our looks, though they look similar we found to be quite contrasting, with me in clean white ensemble, looking like a lady and him in inks and denim blues, looking like somewhat of a rebel.

Through Shaded Eyes (TSE) is the brainchild of Tokelo Motsepe. A retail buyer and digital strategist with an addiction to blogging, this blog is a platform for my style, life and love for fashion to be shared. What started as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world, has now become a place to let out my passion for fashion & writing, in-between time spent at work, traveling, or doing everything else life throws at me… it has become a form of expression and I hope it can inspire and encourage you to also share!
