Tart SS15

The Tart show at MBFWCT was one of my favourites, yes my view may be a little bias with the relationship I have with the brand and all, but it no doubt had me itching to shop some of the looks straight off the runway to get my wardrobe ready for summer. The collection, done by Cari Stephenson was inspired by the feather effect created by the fringing done for MBFWJ AW15 and the idea of birds of paradise in flight. “Approaching the elements I find appealing in clothing- colour, movement, asymmetry and ease- from this point of view, this collection incorporates spiral cuts, solid slashes of Macaw inspired colour, swooping hemlines and a degree of restraint, as the natural, blissful freedom of these beautiful creatures is emphasised by the contrasting bonds of their captive counterparts.We will also launch a capsule collection, to be available online, consisting of reworked tart favourites.”  -Cari Stephenson What I loved most about this show is how there is literally something for everyone, flowing maxi’s, high hemlines, sexy exposed backs, …
