Its Monday morning, and after yet another busy weekend, getting out of bed was not easy. I realized I didn’t share my full look from my rose picking session and I figured a look back at that wouldn’t hurt, especially since it fits in with the theme.
This little ensemble is a local creation by fashion design house Lazuli here in Cape Town. I came across their studio one afternoon while I was out roaming the streets of Cape Town and I spotted this dynamic duo (top & skirt combo) from outside. Now when this happens, I usually get a severe case of tunnel vision and I didn’t even take note of the name on the door, and only realized awhile later when I saw the label on my way to try the set on, and lucky for me, it was a perfect fit. If you follow my blog, you would have noticed how I like my skirts and dresses to be about calf length and though I found this to be slightly longer, it was perfect.
As I twirled in front of the mirror, chatting to one of the creators of the dress, it also felt great to be supporting more local designers, something I will most definitely be doing more of.
