Western Ways

With seasons changing, I felt it was the best time to bring my #bluemonday series to an end, and bring back some old favourites, like the Tuesday Trend.

One accessory that I am sure most of you have started seeing popping up everywhere is this western style belt, and I won’t lie, I proper went looking for this baby when I first saw it online.

I’m one that loves to accentuate my [original] waist, which is why I pretty much only where high-waisted skirts, jeans and pants. Anyway, when I finally found the belt (in Factorie), I chose to style it for you guys in a slightly different way, instead of on a pair of jeans as most might wear it, I thought I’d try it out like this. Simply because I like to take my favourite new trend items, and incorporate them into my sense of style and not just copy how everyone else is doing it – this is how trends should be worn. We each need to make our own and wear it in a way that shows who we are, and not try look like someone else.

Ok, so I think I may have gotten a bit carried away there, and in getting back on topic… I think what drew me to this belt its the detail on the buckles and the tips, and I’m sure it would fit just as snug on a pair of my black high-waisted jeans too!

What do you think of this belt? Would you wear it?
