Now and then, life can get the better of you and you find yourself caught up in chasing deadlines and get all that you need to do done, that you neglect to take a moment to stop and simply take a breather. That’s pretty much how I feel like things have been for me for a bit and when I realized this, I thought it time to do something about it.
I went out in search of greener pastures, to enjoy some fresh air with a hike; and cause winter equals rainy season for those of us in the Cape, when those clouds clear up, it’s a chance to break out lol.
There’s nothing like hiking up a new route to get the blood flowing, one of my favourite ways to keep active and even better way to explore my surroundings. This time I went on a trail on the well-known Signal Hill with a friend and had to make sure I was well-dressed and covered up for this one with it being chilly out, but that didn’t stop us from having lots of laughs and enjoying the wonderful view of the sun setting on the other side of the ocean.
It made for a nice and relaxed afternoon spent catching up and taking a few pictures.
