This post is long overdue, I know.
You know how it is, you go away for what feels like a blink and you come back to madness. Anyway, I’m back and as they say, better late than never, right?
So I had my bags packed & loaded to set out bright and early for the four and a half hour drive from Cape Town to Wilderness. Didn’t leave quite as early as I wanted, but the drive was still pleasant with a playlist of my current faves in tow, how could it not be.
Arrived at the Moontide Guesthouse to find the place to be even prettier than the images I had seen online when making the booking (FYI they have great winter specials on now, which you must take advantage of if you are planning a visit to the area soon).
My room was high up in the trees, with a beautiful view of the property and lake, it was picture perfect. What I was looking forward to most was the outdoor shower, I had never gotten to used one of those things, but was happy to discover there was also a beautiful claw-foot free-standing bathtub [cause as you know #ihaveathingforbathtubs].
The rest of the day and evening was pretty chilled, filled with lots of tea drinking, eating and planning the days to come.
Another post will follow soon, sharing my beach visit on Day ✌🏾 .
