Life & Leisure

Life & Leisure accommodation is where design meets comfort and service is the quintessential mixer. Their reputation is built on their hospitality and service and their commitment to making every guests stay special.

The guesthouse rooms and apartments are designed and decorated by director and business-owner Margie Potgieter. These are a glamorous meld of contemporary designer chic; with the sophisticated use of furnishings, colours and playful patterns creating a unique collection of rooms for guests to take comfort in.

“Our commitment to your comfort, our central location and our beautifully appointed guesthouse has drawn visitors from all over the world and our guest lists include professionals, holiday-makers international athletes, film crews and visiting academics.”

All their guest rooms come furnished with either a Queen- or King-size bed, the en-suite bathrooms all have a shower, toilet & basin and the honesty bar and custom-built kitchenette unit, neatly hidden behind cupboard doors.

I enjoy little places like this when travelling than at hotels, cause besides being often more affordable, they tend to have that ‘home away from home’ feel that makes one not want to leave. The little touches like chocolates on pillows with the turndown service and a cute & furry, hot water bottle, which I found filled up and waiting for me after returning from dinner; not that had me smiling warmly til I dozed off.

Through Shaded Eyes (TSE) is the brainchild of Tokelo Motsepe. A retail buyer and digital strategist with an addiction to blogging, this blog is a platform for my style, life and love for fashion to be shared. What started as an escape from the hustle and bustle of the world, has now become a place to let out my passion for fashion & writing, in-between time spent at work, traveling, or doing everything else life throws at me… it has become a form of expression and I hope it can inspire and encourage you to also share!
